Senator Seeks Funds to Battle Livestock Disease 9 August 2004 - 14:26:48
The Wisconsin Agricultural Connection has an article up today (read full article here) on trying to get money to manage Johne's disease in livestock.U.S. Senator Russ Feingold is asking Senate appropriators to set aside funds to help manage Johne's disease. The Johne's disease management program offers incentives to livestock producers to voluntarily begin testing for Johne's disease and to remove infected and exposed animals from their herds. Feingold sent a letter to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture today, asking that adequate funding be appropriated to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) for this program. This year, the administration's proposed budget would significantly cut the funding for the disease control program. It's defintely worth a quick read.

Ressurrecting NWW for Feingold 9 August 2004 - 14:17:50
Hi, I've been slacking in my duties as a blogger these last few months -- this site was going strong back in may, but has been effectively desolate for various reasons that are rather unimportant... but this needs to change.
Also, I'm asking that anyone who is in Northwestern Wisconsin, and willing to help out with this blog e-mail me. Frankly, if we want to keep this site going until the election, I'm going to need someone else helping.

Feingold Makes a Call for Grassroots Support 24 May 2004 - 15:36:22
Senator Russ Feingold sent out the following e-mail to supporters today:
Good morning,
On this Monday morning in Wisconsin, I wanted you to be among the first to know that beginning today and into tomorrow, I will announce my plans for reelection to the United States Senate.
I greatly appreciate all your generous support over the past months and years. As a special thank you, my campaign team and I have put together an online announcement video that I want you to be among the first to view. Just click here to take a look.
We are going to cut through all the rhetoric and speak directly to the many friends I have right here in Wisconsin. That's why I filmed this video. I am talking openly and honestly to Wisconsinites about creating a strong and vibrant workforce, getting people better access to affordable, quality health care and protecting our cherished civil liberties.
I understand if you don't have time to view the video. Monday mornings are often busy for me too. But please consider taking a moment to make a contribution to my campaign for reelection. I need your help to take on the deep pockets of my opponents. Just click here if you would like to help.
Thank you for being a stalwart part of my campaign for reelection. It would be awfully hard to run if I didn't know that I had the rock-solid support of thousands of friends like you.
I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail.
Russ Feingold
U.S. Senator
