Report on Feingold's La Crosse County Listening Session
Posted at 9:33:22 on April 13, 2004
There's an article in the La Crosse Tribune (read the article here) about Senator Russ Feingold's La Crosse County Listening session (He also held one in Trempealeau county on the 12th as well):
La Crosse County residents told U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold Monday they're concerned about health care, Medicare, the environment and Iraq. The two-term Democratic senator from Middleton, Wis., held a listening session in Holmen, one of 72 he'll hold in each of Wisconsin's counties this year.

Only one of the about 50 people in attendance disagreed or challenged Feingold on any issue. Most were there to thank him for votes on everything from the Medicare reform bill, which he supported, to the USA Patriot Act, in which he cast the Senate's lone no vote. Or they sought his continued support on issues like credit unions and Mississippi River environmental issues.

Sorry I didn't report on this ahead of time, I'll try to pay closer attention. He also held listening sessions this morning in Polk County, Burnett County, and Washburn County.
