An Interesting Piece on the Opposition

The Associated Press has an article out (read it here) on the Republicans looking to challenge Russ Feingold's Senate seat.
Car dealer Russ Darrow, running as a Republican for U.S. Senate, came under questioning at a debate Monday over his past contributions to incumbent Sen. Russ Feingold and another top Democrat, Gov. Jim Doyle.
State Sen. Bob Welch, R-Redgranite, another of the four GOP candidates for Senate, defended his campaign's decision to focus on the contributions Darrow made to Feingold and Doyle, and the money that construction executive Tim Michels gave to Doyle.
"I just asked why, and I have yet to hear an answer," Welch said, adding that news of the contributions would "help differentiate us in a race with Republicans and in a Republican primary."
