Communing With Nature: Property Damage

Let me show you a picture:

In this picture, you are looking at the second story balcony that is attached to my bedroom. You will notice that it seems, ummm, a little "distressed".

Okay, so it's torn to sh**.

This is because of our friends mother nature and the animal kingdom. See, this is the wonderful artistry of a Cooper Hawk. They like to build platforms in trees, and so our friend the Hawk decided to create his platform by decimating my platform...

Okay, so it's really not that big of a deal, and I actually think it's kind of cool. Why? Because the entire balcony needed to be replaced anyways. That's right, the whole thing was a danger, and at least I don't think anyone will try to step on it with a gaping hole in the middle of it now, eh? The Hawk was only able to rip it up because it was rotted out and dangerous.

We spotted the bad boy the other day. Makes me wish I had a regular digital camera, instead of just this dinky webcam. Then I could give you an actual photo of the bird, and not just the damage it's inflicted...
