Sunshine, a cool breeze, and... a paper proposal.
Posted Apr 5, 2004 - 17:21:49

Sun is streaming through my window, and a cool breeze blows over my shoulder. It would be blissful, if it weren't for the paper proposal I'm supposed to be doing right now. I should get back to work, but I'm being lazy. We all know I'm a procrastinator... but I will get it done on time.

Really, I've been a little weird all day today, not really feeling quite myself. But, that's changed in the last fifteen minutes. I'm a awake, I'm here, and I'm ready to get my butt in gear.

SciFi channel has finally announced when they're going to show the Farscape Miniseries, which promises to finish off the cliffhanger that we were left with at the end of the series. You can read more about it at SciFi.com. Needless to say, I've been waiting for this for a damned long time.

On the random side of things, one of the gi-hugic boring drills used to construct the Chunnel is being auctioned off on ebay. I look at this thing, and all I can think is "I could build a full sized Mr. Bamt out of that!" Just add a tape recorder with the phrase "apologize now... kiddies" on loop, and you're 90% there! If I had £5,000,100.00 (where the bidding is at the time of this post), I'd so be there. But, again, if I had £5,000,100.00 I probably wouldn't be sitting here talking to you.

On a "I need to make sure I mention something Japanese in every post" sort of note, along with a splash of "I need to mention something nerdy", I will mention that Japan, China, and South Korea are going to throw their weight behind Linux. You can read an article on it over at Japan Today.

Oh and you want to see something funny and scary at the same time? Read this. I almost wish I subscribed to this magazine just so I could get one too.

On that note, I leave you kids to ponder your existence on your own. Meditate on the thought of the fork, and how it will not come flying off the shelf at you.

Because that might hurt.
