Packing and Re-Watching Doctor Who
Posted Aug 23, 2005 - 7:26:19

Doctor Who?So, I've started packing my things for my cross state migration at the end of the week. It's been an interesting summer all in all, and part of me is rather sad to see it end.

Another part of me is very much glad to see it over though.

Sure, I'll miss my family and friends, but Eau Claire has become home these last few years - and every time I visit Milwaukee it feels like, well, I'm just visiting. And after an extended visit, you sometimes feel a need to return from whence you came. So, I've begun to pack my things, to make this prodigal return to my podunk little town. I really do severely dislike packing though. Immensely.

It's like cramming everything you have into boxes and crates. Compression of self almost. And the choice of what comes with and what stays behind is never an easy one... combined with the fact that I have an assload of laundry to get done as well. And yes, assload is a technical term.

I've been rewatching Doctor Who lately, mostly showing it to my parents. They were fans of the original series, and they really seem to enjoy the current series. It's been nice watching it with them, and I'm probably going to make them copies of the rest of the season so they can watch it once I head back to EC.

Now, if only some genius at some American TV network (or at least DVD publishing house) would get off their ass and SELL IT TO ME, so I can have a legitimate copy, I can finally rest on the issue. I mean, c'mon - I would love to have DVDs of this other than the ones I burned myself. Sell me your product, I wish to buy it.

Hello, Supply? This is Demand. We need to have a talk...

First and foremost I am to remind you to write Chris under penalty of great pain. He needs both your school and permanent address.

Second, while attempting to look up your adress I found this:

http://members.aol.com/roadbustr/home.htm

Thought you might find amusement from that.
Yeah, I know that's there, I've preserved it on purpose - I link to it in the History section of the webpage even. :)

And Derek, can you e-mail me Chris's address again? I can't find where I wrote it down.
