A new movie and other news items...

The Tragedy of WillieSo, as those who read the message board know, I've put together a new short film, which was shot during the annual OA F***mas party. It's called "The Tragedy of Willie," and tells the sad tale of a frozen Alaskan Salmon. You can view the video here (DIVX Required, 20mb). It's my favorite film we've done so far. Sure, it fictionalizes a bit, but it's fun.

Erika headed out of town about an hour ago - we had lunch with her parents at the East Towne Cafe first. Now, I have to mention a few things.

First off, this place is just a few blocks from my parent's house and I've never been there. Secondly, one of the people who runs it is a guy I went to high school with. With that in mind - the food was excellent. I had the "Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger." Now, let me explain - in my opinion the ultimate test of a place's ability to make a burger is based on how good their Bacon Cheeseburger is. Besides the quality of the burger itself (which was excellent) the real test was the bacon. It wasn't overcooked, and their was plenty of it. Again, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

It's a nice, relaxed atmosphere as well. I really liked the place, and will likely return. I live in another city 90% of the year, so I make no promises.

We saw Memoires of a Geisha last night, which was excellent. I can't say enough about that film really. Visually, it is incredible, and it is very well written. Overall, I recommend it to anyone. It's a wonderful period piece.
