And the twentieth video brings a blizzard to town...
Posted Feb 24, 2007 - 19:24:33

With the big snowstorm on Friday, Beeffalo, Cheesy and I went out and goofed around in the snow. I also learned that a camera lens can fog up just like glasses. I call this entry, quite simply, "Blizzard!"

Music in this entry was provided in part by the permanent providers of my opening theme, To Slay Zombie Newton - and usually I use them for my end credits - but this time around I went a different route. Because of the subject manner and the quasi-artistic moment I was trying to create, I ended up using Loreena McKennitt. I know, I know - I'm trying to not use copyrighted music in these... but it fit too perfectly.

Let's hope no lawyers call, okay? *grins*

Anyways, we were outside that night for just over an hour - throwing snow at each other, and having a pretty damned good time. Part of my body still aches from it all though... but it was so totally worth it. I slept in until 11:30 though because of it - which while early for a Saturday by my old standards, by my current ones it made me feel like a sloth. But, again, totally worth it.

I think there is just something amazingly pure about playing around in the snow - something that is beyond age, and that you never truly grow out of. I hope I never feel too old to go out and do that sort of thing.

My next vlog will probably show up on Sunday next week, instead of my usual Saturday - simply because I won't have shot it by Saturday. I plan on bringing the camera along to MarsCon when we run the room party. We still need to figure out what we're doing exactly, but plans are forming, and it looks like it will be a good time. It also looks like I've convinced Crysta to come with as well - so I'm super excited. I don't think she's ever been to an event like this before... so it should be an interesting experience for her at least.

I love the convention season, and wish I could afford to go to more events. Everything just seems to build up over the spring, and before I know it... No Brand Con will be here. I have to say, that I love No Brand Con about as much as I like Christmas. Heck, if my family came in for No Brand Con, I'd like it more than Christmas.

Yep - I'm that much of a geek.

I've got to prep for a presentation that I'm doing on Monday this weekend, which means more work than I really want to do right now... of course, what I really want to do right now is play around in the snow - so perhaps it's really not so bad...

...and my body does ache from that snowball fight still - so maybe it's for the best.
