There was a No Brand Con election last night. While it's true I took a year off back in the day (and in the first couple of years we really didn't elect people... because there wasn't anyone to elect us), since my return to staff in 2004 I haven't missed a vote.

Now, some might think that since I'm in Indiana I might have missed this election - but no! Because I was running for re-election as co-web manager, I convinced them to let me Skype into the meeting. And because I'm a weird, self important crazy person I convinced them to make me a GIANT HEAD ON THE SCREEN.

I may or may not be insane, I know.

So last night's No Brand Con meeting was subjected to me - and I apologize if I was disruptive. But I got to ask some questions of the candidates, give my speech as a candidate, and hold up signs saying various things and be a pain in the ass.

Now, obviously I couldn't vote - as No Brand Con's rules state that you must be physically present to do so - but at least I got to watch everything unfold.

I'm actually really happy with the team we've put together for next year, and I think Q and Pher will make great co-condirectors. Did every election go the way I expected? Not necessarily - but I have total faith in the team the committee chose... which I think is all I could ask for.

But we all know the election results aren't what's really of value here... we know that it's MY GIANT HEAD ON A SCREEN. My image, projected in gigantic form in front of a room full of people is destined to make everyone feel better about their lives, and improve reality.

I hope we've all learned a lesson from this.
