As some of you may know, I spent the last week in Northern Wisconsin on a lake with my family. We've been doing this every year for my whole life, and needless to say it was worth the nine hour drive there, and the subsequent nine hour drive back.
I've written about it in years past, and I don't know how much more I have to specifically add -- it was just an awesome time.
But now I'm back.
At Work.
Which is unfortunate.
Taking a week off of work has a myriad of side effects. First of all, my rhythms are all off. I think I'm working slower than ever today, and it's not a good thing. Hopefully I can get things going though before the end of the day. Part of my brain is still back at the lake though I think. I also had a ton of email sitting in my box, which of course meant I went over my work email's quota... which is always a pain. The first think I did was spend a good fifteen minutes cleaning out useless crap I get sent like catering menus for a place 500 miles from where I actually am. That goes for whoever left their lights on 500 miles away from me as well.
Seriously, I don't need to know about the red Chevy van parked by door number two. It isn't mine. I promise.
Well... maybe... where did I leave that Chevy Venture again?
Readjusting I think is the biggest pain in the ass about going on vacation. I mean don't get me wrong - I like being on vacation - but I always feel off when I get back no matter what. But I'm back, and I have to do it.
...although I'd much rather be back at the lake.
