Random Lt. Snorkel MP3! A J-Rock Song?

So, in one of my bizarre moments of strangeness, I decided to record a new song the other day - and I thought I'd share it with all of you on the big wide internets this fine September morning. What I'm sharing is, of course, a new Lt. Snorkel track from the forthcoming album "Mistakes I Made On Purpose" (which I won't be putting out until next year).

Without further ado, I present the new MP3:

I go to a lot of anime conventions, and even vended for a year selling J-Pop and J-Rock albums. One thing that's always amused me is how many fans of J-Rock and J-Pop in America don't really speak any Japanese. While the die hard fans (even if they don't speak the language) will research every song of their favorite band (I'm looking at you Cheesus) and totally understands what they're listening to, there's a large percentage who just think it sounds cool and never dig deeper.

This means that there's a large percentage of people attempting to sing along with songs they don't understand, and they could literally be saying anything.

So I wrote a song just for those people.

The lyrics to J-Rock song are as follows (and forgive my exceptionally basic translation skills):

You'll notice I made the verses the same. I figure that'll make it easier for people to sing along with at home. The verse and chorus translate to, by the way, something simple... but I'll let you use Google Translate to figure it out.

Hopefully we can make this song popular, and if I can get one J-Rock fan to sing it outloud not knowing the meaning of the words...

Update:I've uploaded a version with unfiltered vocals you can find above as well. These are rough passes, so the final album version may end up completely different.

Google translate fails me! Fortunately, I know what watashiwa and baka mean, and the translation for shiranai gives me the context for the rest of the song.

Unfortunately the lyrics are all but indistinguishable, even more so than usual for a foreign language. Sorry Trae, I just don't see this catching on.

Indistinguishable? I thought my diction was pretty clear.

It's the editing. Your voice alone is fine, but I had trouble following along with the filtered version.

I think the final album version is going to use the unfiltered vocals.
