Random Art - The HMS Hummingbird

So in today's Irresponsible Irreverence I decided to yet again revisit my random Steampunk world "Chronicles of Crosarth." While the three comics I've done in that world all have a sepia toned, mono color look, what some might not realize is that I actually draw these in full color before converting them.

Originally the first comic was going to be in full color, but at the last minute I changed it - as I thought it looked nicer that way.

And considering I use photos for backgrounds, it really does help make the foreground feel more natural in the environment. But it leads to funny things -- like the darker gray and blue on the HMS Hummingbird (the airship pictured above) appear to be the same color. Also, none of you have any idea that Rutherford J. Hayworth IV has bright blue eyes.

After doing this comic, I'm honestly considering switching tracks with my webcomics. Right now, I only have time to do two comics really. UnCONventional is going to continue, but I've been struggling with Irresponsible Irreverence gags for months... so I'm considering ending it altogether and launching a regular version of Chronicles of Crosarth.
