And the world was washed clean with snow... |

Right now it's snowing out. It's only a light snow at the moment, but it was coming down thick earlier, and it will be doing the same later tonight. We are looking at a big old snowstorm tonight, here in Milwaukee, and shovelling looks like it'll be on the menu in the morning, in heaping quantaties. The photo that goes with this post was taken just a few minutes ago, from my parent's driveway. I think it turned out pretty neat.
Ah well, I'll survive. It's not like I haven't grown up doing the job...
It looks like getting my stuff into my new dorm room this weekend shouldn't be a problem, which is pretty cool. I won't have to leave a large amount of my personal belongings in a slightly public space anymore.
In some news you might care about, it looks like LiveJournal might be being purchased by a company called Six Apart. Six Apart owns TypePad and MoveableType. You can read about the whole thing here. What are the implications of a buyout like this? How will this effect the service? No one's sure, as apparently neither Six Apart or LiveJournal's current parent company Danga Interactive have made a comment on it. Of course, all I know is that I want to read my friend's blogs, and that if I can't, then... well, I'll get cranky.
(Just remember that my journal *can* be added to a LiveJournal friend's list as well by adding my syndicated feed to their list, just in case y'all have forgotten.)
Addendum, 1/6/04 1:35AM: The news has been confirmed and you can read about it here (LiveJournal.com) and here (SixApart.com). It looks like the only real big change is you LiveJournal users will finally have a TrackBack feature. *shrug*
